We want to build a strong company with loyal customers
Taqua was founded in 1998 to develop a next generation switching platform that would economically deliver advanced communications capabilities and serve as the center piece for the graceful transition to a converged network infrastructure. Since it's inception the company's focus has been on improving local (ILEC) and competitive (CLEC and Cable) carriers' deployment and operations costs, while delivering new and differentiated revenue generating services.
By 2004, Taqua had established itself as the market leader with a 40% share of all next-generation switch sales in North America. As a result, the company was acquired for over $90M by Tekelec. Under new management in 2007, Tekelec refocused its business on signaling and sold its Switching Systems Group (SSG). Concurrently, the Taqua management team and employees seized upon the opportunity to acquire and re-launch Taqua as an independent company.
Our Mission
Taqua replaces legacy voice infrastructure switching systems by establishing a flexible next generation switching network capable of delivering legacy TDM and advanced converged IP services.
